DRDO, IIT Delhi demonstrate secure long-distance communication using quantum tech

India has taken a major step in advanced communication by successfully showing how quantum technology can be used to send information securely over a distance of more than one kilometre, per an ANI report. The demonstration was carried out by the DRDO–Industry–Academia Centre of Excellence at IIT Delhi, using a method called free-space optical transmission on campus.
