Instagram influencer Kirti Patel, known for her 1.3 million followers, has been arrested by Gujarat Police after evading authorities for nearly 10 months. She is accused of honeytrapping a real estate builder and extorting ₹2 crore.
The case dates back to June 2024, when an FIR was registered against Patel and four others. While the other accused were arrested earlier, Patel remained absconding and was constantly on the move, frequently changing her location, SIM cards, and online activity to avoid being traced. Authorities finally tracked her down in Ahmedabad’s Sarkhej area with help from Instagram’s data.
Police are now recording her statements and investigating additional charges, including land grabbing and further extortion complaints.
