Indian Railways has launched a new “super app” called RailOne, which combines almost all major passenger services into one place. With this single app, travellers can book reserved and unreserved tickets, get platform tickets, check PNR status, track trains and coaches, order food on board, raise complaints, check refund status, and even book porters, taxis, and freight services — all with a unified login.
Users can sign in using their existing IRCTC or UTS credentials and secure access with an mPIN or biometric login linked to R-Wallet. There’s also an option to use the app in guest mode for basic tasks like checking train schedules or PNR status without logging in.
Launched by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on July 1, 2025, the app is available for both Android and iOS devices. A special benefit is that passengers can get a 3% discount when they book unreserved or platform tickets through RailOne.
To make bookings smoother, Railways will soon require Aadhaar or DigiLocker OTP verification for Tatkal bookings and will prepare train charts 8 hours before departure instead of 4. A new passenger reservation system is also on the way, expected by the end of 2025, to handle high volumes of bookings and make services even faster and more reliable.
In short, RailOne aims to give passengers an all-in-one, hassle-free digital experience with extra perks and easier access to every railway-related service they need.
