A few days ago, reports emerged that Microsoft is closing its operations in Pakistan after 25 years. While the shutdown happened recently, it was a decision in the making for some time, especially as only a liaison office with about five employees remained.

The news was first revealed by Jawwad Rehman, the founding head of Microsoft Pakistan.
