Google rolls out image-to-video generation tool for Gemini subscribers

Google’s new photo-to-video feature is now available to paying subscribers of its Gemini assistant. Starting Friday, users on the Google AI Pro and Ultra plans in select regions can transform still photos into short, eight-second MP4 video clips with sound, via the web version of Gemini.

The feature is rolling out to the Gemini mobile app throughout the week.

The new tool allows users to upload an image, enter a short prompt describing the desired animation and audio, and watch the system generate a 720p, 16:9 landscape video using Google’s Veo 3…
