Quick commerce major Blinkit will see operations becoming more efficient and profitable following its shift to an inventory-led model, per analysts.

In the week leading up to the release of the first-quarter results, which ended June 30, Eternal announced that Blinkit would move from a marketplace model to an inventory-led approach. The transition will happen over the next three quarters.

In a post-results statement, Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa said that near-term margins for the vertical appear to have stabilised and bottomed out.
