Elon Musk announces there will be no ‘researchers’ at xAI

Aditya Gupta, an employee of X (formerly Twitter), posted a job opening on the platform for an “AI engineer and researcher — Reasoning post training.” However, Elon Musk promptly replied to the job posting by declaring that xAI will refer to its employees as ‘engineers’ rather than ‘researchers’ moving forward.

“We at @xai are looking for researchers and engineers for scaling up our rl environments with user feedback and preference in the loop. apply here (or drop me a dm),” Gupta wrote on X.
