AMD has launched Stable Diffusion 3 Medium, an AI image generation model optimized for its XDNA 2 NPUs. This model distinguishes itself as the first to process outputs in BF16 format, promising efficiency gains.
Designed for Ryzen AI laptops equipped with at least 24GB of RAM, the model requires Tensorstack’s Amuse 3.1 beta software. Once installed, users can generate images directly on their devices without needing an internet connection, offering a secure and private experience.
AMD emphasizes that Stable Diffusion 3 Medium allows for on-device image creation, empowering users with local processing capabilities for AI-powered image generation.
