Today, Confluent unveiled its Streaming Agents feature in open preview in Confluent Cloud. The new functionality allow organizations to select models, engineer prompts, specify tools and sources, implement testing, and provide data enrichment for event-triggered, multi-agent AI systems.

Confluent’s addition to the AI agent-based paradigm is memorable for two reasons. Firstly, it’s designed to realize the full vision of the promise of smart agents by equipping them with the most recent data available from the platform’s Apache Kafka
