Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) has committed $40 million (about Rs 334 crore) to Aavishkaar Capital’s Global Supply Chain Support Fund, strengthening the Mumbai-based impact investor’s focus on enterprises across Asia and Africa.

The investment was announced by Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba during the “Economic Partnership in Indian Ocean – Africa Forum,” held alongside Ticad 9 (Tokyo International Conference on African Development) in Yokohama.
