TikTok ban not lifted: Officials

New Delhi: India has not lifted its ban on TikTok, government officials said Friday, after some reports claimed that the Chinese-owned short-video platform that New Delhi banned in 2020 has become accessible in the country.

TikTok’s content is still not available in India, the officials said.

While the landing page on the TikTok website earlier used to display a message that the service was not available in India, now it is showing their “About us” page when accessed on desktop, the officials said.

This does not mean its content is available here,…
