Zomato hikes platform fee to Rs 12 ahead of festive season

Eternal-owned food delivery platform Zomato increased the platform fee levied on orders to Rs 12 from Rs 10. The hike comes as festive season demand is expected to skyrocket.

The hike comes days after rival Swiggy increased the platform fee for its food delivery business to Rs 14 from Rs 12, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST), in certain pin codes amid a surge in orders. The hike will be rolled back once demand cools down, people in the know had told us.
