Six months after launching container host VMs, the company is rolling out application and base VM images that promise zero common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) — a move that could shake up how enterprises think about infrastructure security, the company said.

The pivot makes sense. While Chainguard built its reputation securing containers, VMs still dominate enterprise infrastructure. And according to company executives, customers have been asking for more.
