Xiaomi teases 17 series with Snapdragon 8 Elite, gunning for iPhone 17

Xiaomi is playing bold this time. Forget the Xiaomi 16 — the Chinese brand is skipping straight to the Xiaomi 17 series, and it’s clearly gunning for Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup.

In a Weibo post, Xiaomi president Lu Weibing confirmed the series will launch with three models: the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. All three will first hit China, with global availability expected later this year or early 2026.
