Employees of Planet Fashion, a retailer that sells products from Van Heusen, Allen Solly, and Louis Philippe in Chennai’s bustling Pondy Bazaar, had their hands full sticking green dots and revised price stickers on products eligible for a GST rate cut before the evening crowds walked in.

The store was adorned with stickers saying “Celebrate GST savings! Spot the Green Dot”, a call-for-action for customers to flip the price tag and see if there was a green dot on their favourite shirts and tees.
