A team of young Luxembourg scientists has been awarded a special prize for their wearable device for UV monitoring and early skin cancer detection. 

The AURA bracelet was developed by Shaheen Aljourdi, Rodrigo Von Mayer Goulart and Yigit Günes, who formed one of three Luxembourg teams competing at the 36th European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) in Riga.

As recipients of the Special Prize of the Latvian Council of Science, the AURA team will receive tailored online training and mentorship to advance their work towards…
