Nithin Kamath, co-founder and CEO of online brokerage Zerodha, said his personal account on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) was briefly compromised after he fell for a phishing email disguised as a security alert.

In a post on X, Kamath explained that he received an email early in the morning that appeared to be a legitimate notification about a suspicious login. The message prompted him to click a “Change Your Password” link, following which he entered his password.
