The Samsung Galaxy XR is designed to be a showcase for class=”link ” href=”https://www.engadget.com/ar-vr/google-lays-out-its-vision-for-an-android-xr-ecosystem-160001103.html” data-i13n=”cpos:1;pos:1″ data-ylk=”slk:Android XR;cpos:1;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas”>Android XR, Google’s new AR / VR operating system, but unlike competing mixed reality headsets, Google says there will be few limits on the apps the Galaxy XR will actually be able to run. In fact, a Google spokesperson tells Engadget that “almost all Android apps will automatically be made available without any additional development effort.”
