In what’s becoming all too common of late, there’s a new bug affecting data-analytics-id=”inline-link” href=”https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft/windows/windows-11″ target=”_blank” data-before-rewrite-localise=”https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft/windows/windows-11″>Windows 11 (and data-analytics-id=”inline-link” href=”https://www.windowscentral.com/tag/windows-10″ data-before-rewrite-localise=”https://www.windowscentral.com/tag/windows-10″>Windows 10) users. And when I say a “new bug,” I mean one that we’ve seen before a couple of times, which we thought was gone for good.
The issue has to do with BitLocker, and it arrived with Microsoft’s October security updates (via data-analytics-id=”inline-link” href=”https://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-confirms-pcs-boot-into-bitlocker-recovery-after-the-latest-windows-updates/” target=”_blank” data-url=”https://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-confirms-pcs-boot-into-bitlocker-recovery-after-the-latest-windows-updates/” referrerpolicy=”no-referrer-when-downgrade” data-hl-processed=”none”>Neowin). Microsoft has confirmed this bug as active via its data-analytics-id=”inline-link” href=”https://admin.cloud.microsoft/Adminportal/Home?source=applauncher#/windowsreleasehealth/:/issue/WI1183025#wl” target=”_blank” data-url=”https://admin.cloud.microsoft/Adminportal/Home?source=applauncher#/windowsreleasehealth/:/issue/WI1183025#wl” referrerpolicy=”no-referrer-when-downgrade” data-hl-processed=”none”>Microsoft 365 Business and Windows 11 Enterprise channels, for which you need an account to see.
