ED widens net globally against online gaming

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will issue Letters Rogatory (LRs) to its foreign counterparts seeking information on alleged proceeds of crime stashed abroad and other details relating to online gaming companies established in India.

The federal agency will shortly send LRs to authorities in the US, Singapore, Dubai, the UAE, the Netherlands and Brazil seeking information on two companies — Winzo Games Pvt Ltd and Gameskraft Technologies Pvt Ltd (GTPL), people aware of the matter told ET.
