The IAN Group on Tuesday announced the final close of its $100 million second venture capital fund, which the investment platform said focuses on early-stage, tech-enabled startups that are addressing large national and industry challenges.

The IAN Alpha Fund has already backed 10-12 companies in sectors such as artificial intelligence, space, semiconductor, climate and healthcare. Several startups it backs are led by first-generation entrepreneurs and are based in a tier-2 or -3 city.
