BYT Capital announces maiden fund focused on deeptech with Rs 180 corpus

Deeptech-focused venture capital firm BYT Capital has launched its maiden Rs 180 crore fund with more than half the corpus already subscribed. The Bengaluru-based fund, founded by angel investor Amit Chand and cofounder of Faad Capital Dinesh Kumar said it has begun evaluating companies, with first cheques expected to be deployed by the end of December.

Within the deeptech ecosystem, BYT will deploy capital across sectors, including IP-led innovation and promoting lab to market innovation. The fund will back sub sectors such as space technology, life…
