WTL’s India debut, taking place from December 17-20 at Bengaluru’s S.M. Krishna Tennis Stadium, will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network, the league’s official broadcast partner. About World Tennis League (WTL)
The World Tennis League (WTL) founded in 2022 in Dubai, the league is now moving to India, with the upcoming season scheduled to take place in Bangalore, India. It is co-founded by legendary Indian tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, it is an annual, mixed-gender team exhibition tennis tournament designed to combine world-class tennis with high-octane entertainment, often featuring concerts and a festival-like atmosphere. It is a team-based competition played in a round-robin format, with four teams consisting of top international and national players (usually two men and two women per team).
Each tie between two teams typically consists of four sets: a men’s singles, a women’s singles, and two doubles matches (which can be men’s, women’s, or mixed doubles).
