It’s been a pretty darn good year for Electronic Arts (EA) and Battlefield Studios, to put it lightly. Battlefield 6 — the latest entry in their legendary long-running large-scale FPS franchise, Battlefield — has been a wild success across Xbox, PC, and PS5, with several hundreds of thousands of concurrent players for many weeks after its early October launch and 7 million copies sold during its opening weekend.

It would ultimately go on to become the best-selling game of 2025, with Season 1…
