Karnataka industries minister MB Patil has written to union steel minister HD Kumaraswamy to help him establish contact with a US-based investor who’s interested in investing in a semiconductor fabrication unit in Mandya district.

Kumaraswamy, who represents the district in the Lok Sabha, wrote to Patil in October informing him about a proposal from Abhay K Rai, CTO, at the “US-based technology enterprise Sanson Group.” The union minister said the Group is keen to set up an end-to-end semiconductor fabrication unit for silicon and silicon…
