Sony Interactive Entertainment is dialing up the volume on PlayStation aesthetics. The company has officially revealed the Hyperpop Collection, a new lineup of PS5 accessories featuring three high-impact colorways designed to transform consoles and controllers into visual centerpieces. Launching in March 2026, the collection introduces Techno Red, Remix Green, and Rhythm Blue for DualSense wireless controllers and PS5 console covers.
The Hyperpop Collection is a clear departure from PlayStation’s traditionally understated hardware palette. Instead, it embraces glossy finishes, neon gradients, and a design language inspired by RGB-lit gaming setups and digital music culture.
A New Visual Direction for PS5 Accessories
According to Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, the Hyperpop Collection is about bringing energy and personality into players’ setups.
Each accessory features a deep black base that transitions into vibrant neon hues, creating a dynamic gradient effect that shifts under different lighting. The DualSense controllers are finished with a high-gloss coat, while the PS5 console covers introduce a subtle translucent effect that allows the colors to glow without overwhelming the console’s silhouette.
Behind the scenes, the designs were developed by PlayStation’s Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) team, who wanted the collection to feel expressive rather than purely decorative.
Techno Red: Loud, Bold, Unmissable
Techno Red is the most aggressive of the three designs. Featuring a vivid red neon gradient over a glossy black base, it’s meant to command attention the moment it’s on your desk or in your hands. Sony describes it as a design for players who want their setup to feel energetic, intense, and unmistakably bold.
Remix Green: A Statement Color With Edge
Remix Green leans into a sharper, more unconventional aesthetic. The electric green gradient gives it a futuristic, almost cyberpunk feel, standing out sharply against darker gaming environments. Customers ordering directly from PlayStation will be eligible for free launch-day delivery on qualifying preorders.
