The Union Government is eager to roll out satellite communication (satcom) services in India, according to sources from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) which has ruled out any extension to the February 28 deadline for compliance with new security.
Sources told CNBC-TV18 that the government has a framework of security rules which allows operators fulfilling requirements to enter the market.
