The Oil & Gas Automation and Digitalisation Congress (AUTOMA) takes place on 5-6 October 2026 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Held in partnership with Shell Energy & Chemicals Park Rheinland, Fluor, Linde, MOL Group and Repsol, AUTOMA brings together industry leaders to examine automation, data-driven technologies and digital intelligence applied across the oil and gas value chain.
As digital technologies reshape industrial decision-making and operational resilience, companies across upstream, midstream and downstream continue to face shared challenges around system integration, performance optimisation and scalable deployment. A recent industry update highlights the rapid expansion of AI-driven digital twin and automation platforms across energy operations, accelerating real-time insights and smarter asset management.
Against this backdrop, AUTOMA 2026 connects senior decision-makers together to move beyond theory and focus on practical implementation and real operational use cases across the oil & gas.
This focus builds on the strong results of AUTOMA 2025, which welcomed 350 delegates from 170 companies across 40+ countries, featured 56 speakers, enabled 288 B2B meetings and delivered over 40 hours of technical case discussions and networking.
Reflecting this momentum, the AUTOMA 2026 agenda builds on this progress, advancing applied industrial digitalisation – from artificial intelligence and digital twins to advanced analytics, emissions monitoring and industrial software platforms – supported by executive-level perspectives and in-depth case studies that connect strategic priorities with project experience.
Participant feedback consistently highlights the value of AUTOMA’s integrated, practice-oriented format. Alexandr Arabadji, Head of the Technical Monitoring, Protection and Prevention Section at Moldovagaz JSC notes the clarity of the agenda and the strong alignment between strategic sessions and applied case studies, highlighting the exhibition area and effective meeting coordination as key drivers of collaboration and business development.
This view is shared by industry partners. Hans Heerschop, Senior Director Information Technology at Fluor, describes AUTOMA as “a collaborative space where EPC vendors and clients meet, exchange ideas and learn from one another – beyond presentations, through structured networking,” while Laura Rodriguez Palafox, Head of Transformation Management Office at Repsol, emphasises that “AUTOMA is a focused platform for peer exchange on automation and digital solutions, rather than a generic technology event.”
Over two days, AUTOMA 2026 provides technical sessions, a focused exhibition and structured networking formats designed for engineers, digital leaders and senior decision-makers.
