Booking.com has confirmed a data breach and said unauthorised third parties may have accessed some customer booking information.
In an email sent to users on April 12, the company said it had detected suspicious activity affecting a number of reservations and had taken immediate steps to contain the incident.
The company said the information that may have been accessed includes booking details, names, email addresses, phone numbers, and any information shared with accommodation providers as part of the booking.
