Children as young as 13 are being exposed to pornographic or sexually explicit content on X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, according to a new study.
The research was carried out in February and March this year by the Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), a London-based NGO. It examined how minors interact with a platform and what content gets recommended to them. Researchers created two accounts for a boy and a girl, both aged 13, and searched for terms like ‘sex’ and ‘porn’ to test content moderation.
