The second week of January saw a flurry of tech launches, including smartphones, earplugs, and tablets. From OPPO Reno13 Series to SoundProtex earplugs, here’s a roundup of the latest from the tech world.

OPPO Reno13 Series

OPPO unveiled the Reno13 Series, which features the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro smartphones. Both the devices boast a 120Hz Smart Adaptive 1.5K OLED ProXDR display along with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. These smartphones run on OPPO’s latest ColorOS 15. The Pro variant comes in two variants: 12GB + 512GB for ₹54,999 and 12GB + 256GB for ₹49,999. The Reno13 is offered at ₹37,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and ₹39,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.

SoundProtex earplugs

Sennheiser has introduced its SoundProtex earplugs, designed to protect hearing while providing clear, high-quality sound. These earplugs are ideal for concerts, festivals and everyday use, allowing users to enjoy music without risk of hearing damage. The earplugs feature patented membrane filter technology and two-stage filters. Priced at ₹1,990, the SoundProtex earplugs are durable and reusable.

Baseus power bank

Baseus, a China-based company, introduced a power bank at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. Part of Baseus’ Enercore series, the Energeek MiFi Power Bank offers the dual benefits of a power bank as well as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. The versatile device is said to provide charging on the go as well as mobile internet connectivity with portable power. The device is equipped with a 20,000 mAh battery and can charge smartphones, tablets, and other gadgets.

Luna Ring Gen 2.0

Noise unveiled its flagship offering, the Luna Ring Gen 2.0. Crafted with fighter jet-grade titanium, this wearable tracks bio-markers such as stress, sleep, heart health, blood oxygen, and women’s health. It promises a 30-day battery life. The bookings for the smart ring have already started, while the deliveries are expected by March 2025.

ColorFit Pro 6 Series

In addition to the ring, Noise also launched the ColorFit Pro 6 series. It combines sleek aesthetics along with advanced artificial intelligence and is said to deliver a seamless and intelligent experience. The squircle design watch is offered in different colours and with different material bands such as metal, plastic, and leather.

Xiaomi Pad 7

Xiaomi launched the Pad 7 tablet in the Indian market. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 System-on-Chip, the all-new device also comes in a Nano Texture Display variant. The tablet offers a more comfortable viewing experience and runs on the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 user interface. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the tablet is priced at Rs 27,999.
