Venture capitalist Prashanth Prakash signs MoU with IISc to sponsor the hospital’s geriatrics programme

Prashanth Prakash, the head of the Karnataka Startup Vision Group and a venture capitalist, committed to establishing a geriatrics wing at the upcoming Bagchi-Parthasarathy hospital on the IISc’s expansive Bengaluru campus on Thursday by signing an MoU with the institution. The amount of the donation was not made public.

By the beginning of 2025, the Shantha & Prakash Geriatrics Wing should be open for business. According to a news statement from IISc, the wing will provide cutting-edge geriatrics facilities to support academic and research programmes and give PG students access to training of the highest calibre. The IISc Medical School’s goal of uniting science, engineering, and medicine under one roof in order to create a new generation of physician-scientists will be carried out by the new wing, it was noted.
