Automation will result in some reduction in people at the bottom of the pyramid with lesser hiring at entry level, according to the top executive of country’s third largest IT services player HCLTech.“Of course, there is some deflation at the bottom of the pyramid due to all the automation. But then there is also a need for a lot of specialised skills…Yes, to some extent, lesser entry level people (are required), because the basic coding can be done a little bit faster,” said C Vijayakumar, chief executive officer at HCLTech.
