As India ramps up use cases around key areas such as health and agriculture, the need is felt to build customised local data sets representative of the issues facing the country, said Shalini Kapoor, chief technologist APJ, Amazon Web Services.

Speaking at the People+ai Mela in Bengaluru on Saturday, Kapoor said that there are various nuances which are Indian centric such as if a large language model would work from a low bandwidth area, bias as defined in the Indian society or if it would understand cultural nuances of Indian regions.
