IT creates dedicated units for MNCs’ capability centres

In an effort to partly offset their loss of business share to global capability centres (GCCs), India’s large and midsize IT services companies are setting up dedicated divisions with separate leadership and teams to help multinationals establish such facilities here and provide them tailored services, multiple sources told ET.

Such deals are beyond the existing partnerships they have with overseas firms for technology services and solutions as third-party providers. Companies driving these initiatives include Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro,
