Computing India’s AI future: Google, Infosys, TCS, others look to chip in

A host of technology and telecom majors such as Google, Airtel as well as software exporters Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys have evinced interest in India’s ambitious roll-out of affordable AI compute infrastructure, people aware of the matter told ET. These companies participated in the pre-bid meeting on March 26 for the second round of applications under the IndiaAI Mission’s graphics processing unit (GPU) initiative, they said.

Also present in the meeting were chip majors AMD, government-owned telecom operator BSNL, tech companies…
