India finalises electronics components scheme as it eyes major export growth

Guidelines for the electronics components manufacturing scheme are almost complete and the portal for applications will be launched in the next few days, union IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Friday.

Components like printed circuit board (PCB), PCB assembly, electromechanical components, a large number of passive components and camera modules, among others, are expected to be made in India.
