Starburst, the company behind the open source Trino query engine, and the Starburst Galaxy/Starburst Enterprise platforms that use it, announced on Monday the addition of several AI features to these platforms, in private preview.

Starburst’s leadership team, including CEO Justin Borgman, Vice President of AI/ML Products Matt Fuller, and Senior Product Marketing Manager Nick Kessler, briefed The New Stack, to explain how the features work and why Starburst’s platforms are especially good ones on which to implement them.
