According to the country’s cybersecurity chief, the UAE blocks 50,000 cyberattacks every day. According to Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, the UAE Cyber Security Council’s Head of Cyber Security, the UAE Cyber Security Council works with its partners to discourage more than 50,000 cyberattacks every day that target vital national sectors.

Al Kuwaiti stated in a statement during the Oracle CloudWorld Tour Abu Dhabi 2023, which began in Abu Dhabi, that the banking, financial, health, and oil and gas sectors are the most targeted, and that all attacks are countered proactively and efficiently to defend the country’s digital realm.

He said that the council combats cyberattacks in accordance with the country’s information security standards and policies, and that the UAE’s superior digital infrastructure and capabilities efficiently oppose harmful cyberattacks against government officials.
