OpenAI’s flagship services — ChatGPT, Sora, and the GPT API — were back online after an unexpected global outage early Wednesday left millions of users without access for several hours. The services started coming back online around 9:30 AM IST, restoring functionality after more than three hours of disruption.

The outage, which began shortly after 6:10 AM IST on July 16, impacted users across North America, Europe, Asia, and India. Nearly 90% of user complaints centred around ChatGPT being completely inaccessible, while others reported issues…
