HCLTech, the third-largest Indian IT services company, intends to have 15% of fresher hires for specialised and artificial intelligence (AI) roles, said the company’s chief people officer, Ram Sundararajan, at the latest post-result conference.

The general assessment from the industry is that 15-20% of the talent supply is AI-ready, Sundararajan said. HCLTech is looking to hire 15% freshers for its specialised cadre, in line with the industry talent supply trends, he said.
