Dubai’s Emirates Flight Catering has joined forces with GMG to introduce a selection of on-the-go meals. Through this partnership, freshly made food will be supplied to GMG’s network of retail stores across the nation. This collaboration marks the first time that Emirates Flight Catering has teamed up with a retail giant to offer on-the-go meals, aligning with the UAE’s vision to promote healthy eating and encourage customers to make better food choices.

Mohammad A. Baker, Deputy Chairman and CEO of GMG, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that the diverse population in the country has led to a rich culinary landscape. The aim is to fulfill and exceed customer expectations by creating a custom-made food range that caters to their needs.

The curated meals will be prepared by Emirates Flight Catering chefs, using high-quality ingredients. Packaging materials will be recyclable, reflecting the commitment to sustainable food packaging. Emirates Flight Catering will support GMG’s Everyday Group by training ground store teams in food preparation and customer service.

Some ingredients for the meals will be sourced from Bustanica, the world’s largest hydroponic farm recently established by Emirates Flight Catering and Crop One Holdings Inc. The partnership aims to meet the growing demand for healthier and more nutritious ready-to-go meal options in the UAE.

Mahmood Ameen, CEO of Emirates Flight Catering, emphasized the significance of this milestone as they venture into the retail sector, expanding their exceptional food solutions beyond aviation and events catering. The partnership reflects their commitment to delivering culinary excellence and innovative products that cater to customers’ evolving preferences.

Emirates Flight Catering currently produces an average of 200,000 meals daily across their business verticals, and this number is expected to increase in 2023. The partnership with GMG represents a shared dedication to meeting customer needs and delivering culinary excellence through innovation.
