UP govt approves policy to boost manufacturing of key electronics components

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday approved an electronics component manufacturing policy with an investment target of Rs 5,000 crore to promote production of 11 key components such as displays and camera modules.

The policy, aligned with the Centre’s Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), will come into effect from April 1, 2025, for a period of six years, according to an official statement.
