In the wake of Twitter’s recent change to adopt the “X” icon as its official logo, many users find themselves reminiscing about the familiar blue bird logo that symbolized the social media platform for years. The change came following Elon Musk’s announcement, prompting some to long for the days when Twitter operated under different ownership. Despite the new logo, Twitter enthusiasts have found a way to revert to the classic bird emblem using iOS shortcuts.

Utilizing iOS Shortcuts to Restore the Twitter Logo – X

Users can use the Shortcuts app on iOS devices to bring back the beloved blue bird logo to their Twitter app. As long as the iPhone runs on iOS 12.0 or higher, this method is applicable. By navigating to the Shortcuts app and tapping “All Shortcuts,” users can set up a new shortcut.

Setting Up the “Open App” Shortcut

In the Shortcuts app, users will find a suggested action for “Open App.” By selecting the “X” app and tapping the share icon, they can add the shortcut to the home screen. This presents an opportunity to customize the name and icon of the shortcut.

Personalizing the X Shortcut

Users can rename the shortcut as “Twitter” instead of “Open App.” To restore the Twitter logo, they can find an image of the classic Twitter icon online. By tapping the small shortcut icon and uploading the chosen image, the shortcut will now bear the Twitter logo.

Embracing the Classic Logo

With the use of iOS shortcuts, Twitter users can now indulge in the illusion of a timeline where the social media platform still operates under previous ownership and retains its iconic blue bird logo. While the “X” may be the official logo, those who prefer the familiarity of the classic emblem can now enjoy a nostalgic touch to their Twitter experience. Congratulations to all who successfully restored the timeless symbol that once defined the platform.
