Along the pedestrian museum route in the city center, 81 museums are within walking distance, creating a lively cultural trail through Vienna’s historic core.
A highlight this year is the Naturhistorisches Museum’s “Auspacken!” exhibition, where visitors can see newly uncovered Stone Age artifacts from Hallstatt and even peek inside customs-confiscated suitcases containing illegal souvenirs.

At the Pharma- und Drogistenmuseum, guests can explore a recreated 1908 pharmacy filled with vintage tools and remedies from the past. The K.u.K. The Lange Nacht der Museen 2025 isn’t just for adults — more than 60 museums across Vienna are hosting child-friendly programs.
