Loyalty is becoming a key driver in India’s digital payments, according to the ‘H1 2025 Payment Pulse Report’ by the fintech Phi Commerce.

For instance, the report found that one in five food & beverage (F&B) transactions are now driven by loyalty. This shows how rewards and incentives are changing the way people pay across the country.

The study analysed data from over 20,000 merchants spanning five sectors: education, F&B, government & utilities, healthcare, and ecommerce.
