The French railway network has taken another major leap forward with the inauguration of a brand-new Transilien Technicentre in Bagneux (Hauts-de-Seine). This state-of-the-art facility, often described as a “garage for trains,” represents a key step in improving the efficiency, reliability, and punctuality of the Transilien network, particularly on Line N.
The new Transilien site, inaugurated in October 2025, will serve as a central hub for the maintenance and inspection of rolling stock, ensuring the trains that serve thousands of passengers daily remain in top condition. Located in Bagneux (92), this Transilien Technicentre functions as a comprehensive service site where trains undergo routine inspections, repairs, and safety checks. The facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic systems and updated infrastructure, allowing SNCF teams to detect and resolve issues faster than ever before.
The modern complex combines both technical and administrative spaces, including newly renovated maintenance bays, storage areas, and operational offices. Interestingly, rather than demolishing the past, the project has chosen to preserve history—the old railway rotunda has been structurally retained and now houses administrative offices for the SNCF team.

A Boost for Line N Punctuality
The Transilien Line N, connecting Paris-Montparnasse to destinations like Rambouillet, Dreux, and Mantes-la-Jolie, already enjoys an exemplary punctuality rate of 96%. However, the addition of the new Bagneux Technicentre aims to push performance even further.
The facility will reduce downtime for maintenance operations, allowing more trains to be serviced simultaneously and get back on track more efficiently. The project also helps improve fleet rotation, meaning that even during peak periods, Transilien Line N can maintain optimal service frequency.
