HEMOdata, a leading data management and AI consultancy, has announced its expansion into the Saudi Arabian market following the completion of its legal entity setup with support from AstroLabs, the Gulf’s leading business expansion platform.

This milestone marks the launch of HEMOdata’s mission to enhance institutional readiness for artificial intelligence across the Kingdom.

HEMOdata provides technology solutions and consultancy services to support organizations in complying with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and regulatory frameworks issued by the National Data Management Office (NDMO), in addition to digital data governance services and assessing institutional readiness for adopting artificial intelligence technologies.

HEMOdata’s expansion reinforces its commitment to helping organizations across the Kingdom establish secure, compliant, and AI-ready data ecosystems aligned with national data regulations, NDMO standards, and the Kingdom’s digital transformation priorities.

This move represents a major step in HEMOdata’s mission to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the broader regional ambition to build trusted, data-driven, and AI-enabled economies.

As Saudi Arabia continues to advance its leadership in data governance and responsible AI, organizations are moving from compliance awareness to full implementation and operationalization. The demand for specialized data advisory and capability-building programs is rapidly intensifying, and HEMOdata is positioned to meet it.

“Organizations cannot unlock the benefits of AI without first establishing trust in their data,” said Luke Cann, Co-Founder of HEMOdata. “PDPL and NDMO are not just compliance requirements; they’re the building blocks of Vision 2030’s data-driven economy. Our role is to help leadership teams operationalize these frameworks to build trust, accelerate innovation, and deliver sustainable, AI-enabled growth.”

HEMOdata’s expansion into the Kingdom is supported by AstroLabs, which has provided strategic guidance, on-ground support, and seamless ecosystem integration throughout the process.  “AstroLabs has been an invaluable partner in our Saudi expansion,” said Dustyn Smith, Co-Founder of HEMOdata. “Their deep regional expertise and strong ecosystem network have enabled us to establish quickly and connect with the innovators driving the Kingdom’s AI and data transformation agenda.”

“As the digital landscape evolves at breakneck speed, HEMOdata’s investments in the Kingdom are laying the foundation for AI-ready, scalable infrastructure at both national and global levels. This directly supports the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority’s (SDAIA) mission to position Saudi Arabia among the world’s top AI nations by 2030,” said Alex Nicholls, Director of Expansion at AstroLabs.

HEMOdata works to support organizations in Saudi Arabia in implementing data governance, enhancing data quality, lineage, and documenting data flows to ensure accountability.

The company also assesses the AI readiness of local institutions and translates the results into actionable plans, executive consulting, and specialized training programs.

As part of its expansion plans, HEMOdata aims to host a series of AI and data Governance Masterclasses in Riyadh, designed to support both public- and private-sector leaders as they advance their AI adoption journeys.

HEMOdata’s expansion aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objective of creating a secure, transparent, and innovation-driven data economy, one that empowers organizations to leverage AI responsibly, enhance data trust, and achieve digital sovereignty.

By establishing a strong presence in Saudi Arabia, HEMOdata is contributing to the region’s mission to become a global hub for data excellence and artificial intelligence
