Ravi Mhatre, cofounder and managing partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, told ETtech editor Samidha Sharma at the firm’s Menlo Park headquarters that India is no longer just a large user base for global tech companies.

He said many major firms, including Anthropic, Google, and Instagram, see huge traction in India, but the country’s real importance runs deeper.

Mhatre called India a “talent-dense” market for AI, explaining that its established IT ecosystem and strong Indo-US tech ties ensure a high concentration of skilled resources….
