Applied Materials has been selected as the lowest bidder for bid package-3 in Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL) Mohali’s fab automation enhancement project, the US chip equipment maker told ET on Friday.

ET had reported on Friday that Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing, Cyient Semiconductors, and Applied Materials have emerged L1 bidders for three separate bid packages in the SCL Mohali modernisation tender. Each bid package defines a different scope of work.
